Death of Steve Jobs

It is sad to know that someone famous has died, but it is good to know that he gave us some things that we can remember him by like: the ipod, the ipad, the iphone, the mac and many more. It is just dissapointing that Steve wont be able to give us any more technology peices that we could have used in our daily lives.

Artical Summary 9/22

Facebook changes way too much that it's just getting plain innoying. They keep changing the format just when we start to like the old one. I'ts just rediculus it just is becoming boring to try to sociolize on a website that keeps changing. Some of the criteria would be timleness for sure and proximity.

Summary Article 9/21

People keep getting ripped off by the prices and the market is getting worse. People are complaining and if you buy a house you get a bar tab for 1000 dollars. That is so rediculus taht they are giving away $1000 just because the prices are so low they need to bribe someone just to buy a house that they may want.
Criteria: timeleness, unusualness

Jonesboro Shooting

Mitchell Johnson, 13, and Andrew Golden, 11 shot up the school on May 24th 1998. They brought many weapons including a crossbow hunting knives and other weapons. They ended up shooting and killing 4 kids and 1 teacher, but they also injured 9 other people. They got released in 2007 which is rediculius because they killed more than one person and that can be life. Just because they are minors doesn't mean they can get away with murder.

Opening activity 9/14/11

In 1998 Jay Mathews started ranking highschools on how prepared students are for college after they graduate. In 2001 he ranked Eastview Highschool rank #8 in America. He doesnt measure the overall quality of the school, the rating can reveal the level of a high school's commitment to prepare average students for college. The 1st place is Southwest Minneapolis and Eagan is in 21st place. I think that Eastview Highschool is a great school and that it will become the best school eventually.

Article Response

I think that all of googles time trying  to beat facebook is a waste of there time. Facebok has 200,000,000 people compared to 25,000,000 for google, there is no way that google is going to catch up even though they made a new social network. I like google's idea of trying to increase there population/popularity but there is no way that they are going to pass up facebook's 200,000,000 people.
